After a scintillating start to the World Cup the last couple of days have been quite underwhelming, day 6 in particular was very disappointing with Brazil playing out a poor 0-0. Yesterday’s odd results naturally took a toll on my tips which turned out to be pretty damn poor so I’m looking to get back on the wagon today.
The games for day 7 are Australia v Holland, Spain v Chile and Cameroon v Croatia.
Holland HT-Holland FT 4/6
The odds in this game are absolutely atrocious, there is no value whatsoever. Holland will win and you’d imagine that based on their performance against Spain it will be a thumping, but I think the chances of another heavy win will be unlikely, so a HT-FT result is as good as it gets.
Spain and Both teams to score 2/1
I can’t believe that the bookies have Spain at 4/7 to win this game after their performance against Holland. I think they will win the game because I doubt there is a chance that they put in another poor performance like against Holland and I think there will be goals. Chile are a very good price at 5/1 but Spain should be favourites and are more than likely to win.
Croatia-Cameroon Over 2.5 1/1
Croatia will win the game and are a decent price at 4/7 (Cameroon look awful), with that in mind I think we could see a multiple goal win for the Croat’s. It is even more important for them to put in a good performance to put the pressure on Brazil and Mexico, the game will be open and it is likely Croatia will be scoring the goals.
My god the odds for day 7 are awful, there is little to no value out there at all. There are three clear favourites in each game and that has hurt any value that may be out there. The goalscorer markets are atrociously priced, as are the scoreline markets and it isn’t helped by how unpredictable some of the scores have been in the tournament so far.
